About Us…
The Children's Exchange was started in 1986 as a greener and more budget friendly solution for all of your families clothing, toy and equipment needs! We recycle your gently used clothing, toys, infant equipment, and children's furniture and give it back to our community at family friendly (and wallet friendly) prices.
We offer clothing at CRAZY low prices to help out the working families who depend on us as much as we depend upon them! We also have a buyback program for quick cash or store credit to buy more goods and clothing for your quickly growing family.
How it began…
Our store was established in 1986 by Janice Williams, the current owners’ sister. Jan watched her kids grow up and realized how fast kids grow, with her last child on the way, she didn’t want to go and re-invest in new baby equipment, maternity clothes, and baby clothes, etc. So she started going to garage sales and looking for things in the classifieds, which she found frustrating trying to find what she needed in the right size and season. So she asked herself, “Wouldn’t it be nice to have a store where you could go and find quality used items all in one location?”

And thus, The Children’s Exchange was born. It has always been a locally owned and operated family business, owned by Jolene and Tom Anderson since 1996. Tom and Jolene, along with the rest of the Children’s Exchange Family, have been buying and selling quality infant through teen clothing, men’s and maternity styles for work and for home, toys and games, children’s books, movies, baby equipment, children’s furniture, and much more!
